Bobby Macholz

Bobby Macholz is a lifelong Golden Eagle.  His parents moved to Bethpage in 1955, his brother Bill graduated from Bethpage H.S. in 1965, his brother Skippy graduated from Bethpage H.S. in 1969, and Bobby has been a volunteer with Bethpage H.S. for over 20 years!

Bobby attended the Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf from the age of 6 years old until he turned 21.  Bobby has remained involved with Mill Neck and his friends from Mill Neck ever since.  He always looks forward to the Mill Neck Manor Apple Festival each October … unless there is a Bethpage football game.

After Mill Neck, Bobby worked for Roseline Products for 13 years where he was an experienced builder of kitchen cabinets.  Following his time with Roseline, Bobby worked for Waldbaum’s in the produce department for 4 years.

Bobby then began volunteering with Coach Howie Vogts and the Bethpage football team.  After several years of focusing on football, Bobby brought his enthusiasm and dedication for Bethpage athletics to the Bethpage basketball and lacrosse teams too.  Bobby loves working with the Bethpage student athletes, coaches and teachers.  As soon as each lacrosse season ends, he starts the countdown to the next football season when he can again work with Coach Erwin Dill and the football staff and everyone on the team.

Bobby is also a great brother, brother in-law, uncle, nephew and cousin.  He has 3 nephews and 2 nieces.  He is the favorite granduncle of 5 young kids (including 2 future Golden Eagles!), and Bobby is a terrific godfather to his goddaughter.
