We hope you enjoy our website. It will be a great resource for both students and parents. We are looking forward to another wonderful year at Central Boulevard School and hope you are too! Fifth Grade is such an important year in many exciting ways. Not only is this your last year in this school, but you begin to prepare for your journey to JFK Middle School. Rest assured that this year will bring some new challenges, but we believe in each one of you and know that you are ready for each task!

Throughout the year we will be updating this site with all types of valuable information. Sometimes we will post a "Fun Fact" that will simply be a factual tidbit that is interesting to all of us. Once in a while, we will ask you to find a "Fun Fact" of your own and we will post it here. Click here for the " Fun Fact" for September.

All fifth graders take the New York State ELA assessment in April and math assessment in May. We will begin preparing for these tests almost immediately. This year we will continue to build on the reading and writing skills that you learned in fourth grade. Also, we will work on expanding your knowledge of social studies and science. We believe learning ought to be fun, so we'll be doing plenty of creative and group activities.
