Special Projects

Our first major project of the year will be getting to know each other and understanding our classroom responsibilities. Together we will develop a friendly classroom where everyone is ready to try their best. We will also develop a class motto....so....start thinking....

We will also be working on communities. We will discuss Bethpage, as well as, what all communities need so people can live, play, and work there.

Click here to read about Bethpage History.

We will also study the life cycle of plants. So start looking at some flowers, gardens, the insides of fruits and vegetables, and trees, which are going through interesting changes in the fall.

Helpful Hints

Remember reading is an important part of our day. You should be reading at least 15 minutes each day. You can read on your own, with a grownup, or read to a younger child.

Parents, for more helpful hints on reading , click here.

Homework will be assigned every night. It will be a review of what was presented in class each day. Homework should take about 20 minutes each night.

Remember to complete your reading log every night and hand it in on Fridays.
