Bethpage offers two enrichment programs for fourth and fifth grade students who qualify.  Selection is dependent upon I.Q., Test Results, and teacher consultation. Challenger students meet one full day each week.  Satellite students meet in half day sessions also on a weekly basis.  Students in both programs engage in activities that focus on the higher cognitive levels of Analysis, Synthesis, and Evaluation.  

Through the JASON Project, a nationally recognized interdisciplinary Science Program, Challenger and Satellite students research and investigate topics relating to critical issues affecting our global environment. This year our students will learn about diverse ecosystems, invasive species, life on a coral reef, marine habitats, and other exciting topics relating to oceanography.
