Mystery Book Report

Read a mystery book. As you read pay attention to the four ingredients of a good mystery story:

1. Character 2.Problem 3. Setting 4. Solution

You will make a flip book to present the four ingredients of your story. You will learn how to make the flip book in class and then you will make your own at home on paper that will be provided for you.

On the first section of the flip book you need to list the following information: title, author, illustrator(if any), publisher, date of publication, and your name.

On the second section you will make illustrationsof the important characters in the story. Write the character's name under each drawing.

On the third section, briefly describe (write) the problem in the story.

On the fourth section, briefly describe where and when the story takes place.

On the last section, describe the solution to the mystery.

On the inside of the flip book, you will combine all the information from the cover and any additional needed details into a short book report.

REMEMBER: Neatness counts! Do a rough draft of the project on the flip book that we start in class. You may want to make light ruler markings to guide your handwriting on your final copy. Make all illustrations very colorful. Have fun!
