1st Practice set for Tuesday, Sept. 7th at 6:15PM at Bethpage Rink
OThe Golden Eagles begin the 2010-2011 campaign with their first practice on Tuesday Sept. 7th at the Bethpage Rink. Practice starts at 6:15 sharp. Players must be in FULL HOCKEY EQUIPMENT including neck guards. All players must also have proper forms into the nurse. Forms can be found at bethpageathletics.com. Proper forms include an updated physical, IHH which the nurse will get and the Emergency Contact Forms and an Athlete's Code of Conduct which go to Coach Braglia. No player will be allowed on the ice without the proper paperwork. Practice ends at 7:15 sharp. All interested players should arrive at the rink no later than 5:45 to sign in and receive a practice jersey.
2010-2011 Practice Schedule:
Thursdays @ TOB Skating Center - Bethpage from 10PM - 11PM - Starts Thursday 9/9 and stays the same for the entire season ending in March
Tuesdays @ TOB Skating Center - Bethpage from 6:15PM - 7:15PM - Starts Tuesday 9/7 and runs until the end of November
Mondays @ Syosset Park Outdoor Rink - Syosset from 8PM - 9PM - Starts Monday 12/6 and runs until the end of February
THANK YOU ALUMNI: Special thanks to all the alumni who came and participated in our Annual Alumni Game. It was a great day that saw the Gold Team led by the Collelouris and the Kellys take home this year's Trophy. Special thanks to Sweeney's for the buffet and to the Stella and Demairo families for assisting in the organization and planning of the event. So much positive feedback has been given and we look forward to next year's game. The money raised will go to the Alumni Scholarship as well as the team for the upcoming season. Money raised was also donated to the Bethpage Dad's Club in memory of legendary Bethpage Football Coach Howie Vogts.
HOCKEY HITS HUNGER NIGHT IS ANOTHER SUCCESS!
The team would like to thank all those that contributed to our food drive. On Thursday, January 21st, Seniors Rich Stella and Zach Walsh, Junior Anthony LoPresti, Sophmores Tommy Cafiero, Michael Dunphy and John Saugy along with Freshman Brian DiThomas delivered the goods collected from the night to St. Martin of Tours food pantry. The women at the pantry was so thankful and appreciated the players who personally came to drop of the items.
