Bethpage Routs Port Washington on Hanley's Four Goals
It was a night full of surprises and and of a few firsts. It is no secret that the Eagles have taken some lopsided defeats during the season, but have shown great improvement throughout. The team knew that the game against Port Washington would be a competitive one, with a good chance to pull out a win. The game started with Matt Hanley scoring his first of 4 goals just one and half minutes in to the game. It was the kind of start the team has not had in a long time. The lead didn't last long as the Vikings came right back to tie the score. From there it was all Golden Eagles. Shortly after the Viking goal, Sean Siblano put the Eagles up on a nice passing play with Hanley and Eric Klemm. Hanley would score 2 more in the period and Klemm would add 1 with just :17 left in the period on a fantastic rush and pass from John Saugy to make 5-1 after one period. The second period saw three Eagle players score their first goal as a Varsity player. Jake Baron, Mike Cuciti and Will Jensen found the back of the net to make the score 8-1 after two periods and the Hanley scored his fourth in the third to finish the game 9-1. Anthony Digiorgio was in goal for his first win as a Golden Eagle. The Eagles will face Port Washington again next week on Tuesday January 31st at 7:30 at the Bethpage Rink.

Team Participates in the BHS Safe Halloween Night
Members of the Varsity Ice Team and other organizations and clubs in the Bethpage HS, put together classrooms for younger students in the district to go Trick or Treating. As always, the boys put in a lot work to make their room look good and for the students in the district to enjoy their safe night. It is becoming a rather large tradition in the community and fun is had by all. Thank you to the players for taking their time for a great district wide event.
