THE BETHPAGE DISCOVERY PROGRAM WILL ONLY OPERATE UNTIL 5:00PM IN EACH OF THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

If we were to remain opened longer we would have to be licensed by New York State. This would increase the cost dramatically causing many parents financial hardship. The regulations from the state require a Director, a teacher in every building, employees must have 30 hours of training every two years, these regulations could increase the cost to our parents close to $400 a month for after care. Having less hours, we do not have to be licensed by New York State, we can continue our program as it is.
We hope you can understand our position. Years ago we did contract this program out to the "Y". They started raising the cost so much that Discovery was kind enough to take it over for the parents of Bethpage. The "Y" still has a program that at this point cost $6.00 an hour + administration fees, that might be an option for some of the families that need care after 5pm.
We aresorry for any inconvience that this may have caused some parents using our program.

Students who arrive to PM daycare without prior registration will be sent to the main office and a parent or emergency contact will be called. Children who arrive for the AM program will not be allowed in! This policy is in force due to requirements of our insurance policy.

Please make sure your registration form with your $20.00 registration fee per child is sent in prior to your child attending. Be reminded that all payments must be made by the first of the month or a late fee will be incurred.

Payments that are not received in time will necessitate your child's removal from the program.
