Elementary Report Card Instructions...
* View PDF version
1. Double-click on My Computer
2. Double click on the I:\ drive (“Student$ on ‘file 1’ I:\”)
3. Double click on “Report Cards K-5” folder
4. In the report card directory, all students are classified by high school graduating year and current school. In this example, double click on 2012KL to see all 5th graders from Kramer Lane.
5. All of the Kramer Lane students graduating in 2012 are now listed. In this example, I will double click on AAhn to view this student’s report card.
6. When you open a student’s folder you see all the elementary report cards that this student has. Since we have only started to use this system, only one report card is listed, 0405-Grade05. The report cards are named first by the school year and then by the grade the student is in for that year. As you can see the report card we have selected is the 5th grade report card for the 2004/2005 school year. For instance, a 2nd grade report card for the 2005/2006 school year would be 0506-Grade02. Double click on the 0405-Grade05 report card to open the report card.
7. When you open the document all fields will be empty. You can only modify the gray fields in the report card. All other text is protected. To modify any of the fields, click in the gray area and you can insert or change text. To move between the gray fields, you can use the TAB key to go one field to the right, or SHIFT + TAB to move one field to the left. The LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys also work. Please note, the ENTER or RETURN key WILL NOT bring you to the next field, instead, it will insert a return in the text (which you may want to use in the comments area). Also note, you are allowed to insert several lines of text within the designated comments areas. As you can see here, I have input some sample data.
8. When you are done inserting or modifying a student’s information, please select Save from the toolbar. If you would like to print the report card you can then do so at this time.
9.
