Due Date:  November 23, 2011                      Bud, Not Buddy

Suitcase Project

Bud treasured his suitcase.  We know this because he brought it everywhere and made sure it was always in his sight.  Later on in the novel, we find out that the things inside the suitcase are much more important to Bud than the suitcase itself.

Your Mission:

Create your own suitcase and “fill” it with important things from your life.

Directions:

1.  Create a paper suitcase and decorate it.  Use oak tag or any other heavy weight paper.

2.  Choose at least 5 things to put in your suitcase that represent you and things that are important in your life.

*You can put in magazine cutouts, photographs, clipart, or you can illustrate the objects yourself.

3.  Write a well organized 1 page reflection explaining why you chose the objects that you did.

*Be sure to explain in detail why each object is important to you.

4.  When complete, you will present your suitcase to the class and explain what you put in your suitcase and why.
