BHS Orchestra Trip to New York Philharmonic
On November 4, the BHS orchestra and other music students
attended a performance by the New York Philharmonic at Avery Fisher Hall in New
York. The program was three violin concertos by
Mozart and the world premiere of Wolfgang Rihm’s “Lichtes Spiel.” The violin soloist was Anne-Sophie Mutter, the
New York Philharmonic’s Artist-in-Residence, who also directed the orchestra in
the Mozart concertos. Michael Francis
was the guest conductor for “Lichtes Spiel.”
