Dear Parents, Students and Faculty,
Welcome to my web page. This site is designed to give you some information about Band including what is expected of students as well as how they will be graded. I look forward each and every year to working with every student and trying to get them to develop a greater understanding of music while still having fun.
I graduated 26 years ago from Hofstra University and began my career in Bethpage in 1985 teaching Band and Orchestra at the Charles Campagne school. In 1988 I received my Masters Degree in Music Education from Stony Brook. I have continued taking many classes at Villanova University where I have been certified to repair Woodwind instruments.
I have been very fortunate to travel with an Orchestra and to perform in more than 40 countries. I've especially enjoyed my stays in Asia where I've performed in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, China, Singapore, Indonesia and South Korea.
All of my studies, travels and many years of teaching experience help me to connect with my students in class. Each year I look forward to developing the talents of my students to the best of their abilities. Please feel free to contact me at JFK to discuss any concerns you might have.
Musically,
Mr. Coscette
