Book Reviews

Since one of our goals is to become more confident readers and writers, it will be our mission to READ, READ, READ!

To that end, you will read a self-selected historical fiction novel each marking period that corresponds with the themes you discuss in social studies class. These novels will be read outside of class and will require a final project that reflects your understanding of the historical context and character conflicts you encountered during your reading.

Please review the Book Review Reading List to determine the themes and titles for each quarter. Titles followed by an asterisk (*) are available in Ms. G's classroom library. All other titles are available at local libraries.

These projects will account for 20% of your final grade each marking period.
