The Process

Groups of two to three students will work to build a scaled model of a 10'x12'shed

Each group will have a debit account to use to purchase the lumber to build their sheds.

Step 1: Estimate the amount of lumber needed to build the shed.

Step 2 : Purchase the lumber.

Step 3 : Construct the floor.

Step 4 : Construct all walls.

Step 5 : Attach all walls to the floor.

Step 6 : Construct all 10 trusses.

step 7 : Attach the trusses to the walls.

step 8 : Clean up the walls and hand in for grading.

Grading Procedure:

3 grades will be issued at the end.

1) Shed grade : Based on the quality of construction.

2) Group grade : Based on the groups ability to work as a group.

3) Individual work grade : Based on an individuals work during this project.
