Meet Mrs. Cano

Hi! My name is Mrs. Cano. I have been teaching 5th grade at Kramer Lane for six years. This is not my first career. Before I became a teacher, I was V.P. of Consumer Credit Operations for Chemical Bank. I worked there for 13 years before I decided to retire from the business world and stay home with my two young children. When my youngest entered kindergarten, I started working at Northside Elementary School in Farmingdale as a Paraprofessional working in inclusion classrooms. This is when I realized that my true love was teaching. So, I decided to go back to school and become an elementary school teacher. I recieved my Masters of Science degree in Elementary Education in December of 2004 from Hofstra University.
