CREATIVE ARTS: BAKING TECHNIQUES : Section 1
Become your own CAKE BOSS! Enhance your baking and cake decorating skills in just 2 hours a week. During this 8 week program, we will cover a variety of recipes and techniques from cookie doughs to fancy tarts and flower piping. Students will be responsible for purchasing their own ingredients. A list of equipment and recipes will be emailed to each student after registration. Links for purchasing supplies for the class will also be provided. Weekly projects include: 1. Cookie doughs 2. Do you love the look of antique furniture? Learn how easy it is to use a glaze to create an authentic looking aged effect and accentuate the details of your furniture piece. This popular painting method is one of the easiest and most enjoyable arts to master. In this beginner course you will learn the basics of how to blend, shade and highlight in one stroke. CREATIVE ARTS: RECYCLED TREASURES : Section 1
Learn to look at “trash” in a whole new way while discovering a variety of new mediums. In this class we will use recycled materials, as well as craft items and tools, to create unique items for your home and yourself. No two weeks will be the same. Examples may include candle holder, vision boards, unique jewelry, decoupage.

FITNESS: CHAIR YOGA : Section 1
This is a very gentle class in which stretches and Yoga postures are done in the chair and/or standing, and using the chair for support and/or balance. The class may be done completely in the chair to accommodate limited mobility. This class also focuses on deep breathing, linking breath to movement, and relaxation. Positive quotes are also read at the start and/or end of class. Nothing is needed for this class except a chair, and a strap or tie which will be used occasionally.

FITNESS: GENTLE YOGA FOR JOINTS – **MORNING EDITION** : Section 1
For all levels of fitness, this course focuses on gentle yoga stretches without holding postures or sitting on the mat. You may also sit in a supportive chair. We will practice the accredited program “Joints and Glands Exercises” of the Himalayan Institute, gently stretching from head to toe, designed to relieve stiffness of joints and rebalance circulation throughout the glans. If you have thought about trying yoga and hesitated due to compromised mobility or lack of flexibility, then this course will benefit you. We will add self-massage and acupressure exercises to complement the benefit of gentle yoga stretches.

FITNESS: LIFEGUARD TRAINING : Section 1
This course gives you certifications in Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and Automated External Defibrillation. Requirements: You must be at least 15 years of age by the end of the program (Feb. 26, 2021). Pass prerequisite water skills pretest. Pass both written and practical tests for Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR, and AED. Attend and pass ALL scheduled sessions.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT: COLLEGE BOARD SAT REVIEW PROGRAM : Section 1
This course is designed for students who wish to raise their S.A.T. scores and get comfortable with the exam. Emphasis will be placed on the techniques, review and practice of actual S.A.T. tests. The course offered in the Spring Semester will prepare students for the 5/08/21 and 6/5/21 exams. Register early!
MINIMUM ENROLLMENT: 8 STUDENTS- If the minimum enrollment is not met, you will be notified by phone 2 weeks before the start date of cancellation.
