Barbara Keiler- Class of 1970

Barbara Keiler graduated from BHS in 1970.  While at Kramer Lane Elementary School, she wrote the fourth grade class play.  She was on her way!  She was published in the BHS creative writing magazine and served as an editor of the school newspaper.  She graduated from Smith College and then attended graduate school at Brown University.  During her college days she became a playwright.

In 1983 she wrote and published her first novel, Silent Beginnings, under the pseudonym of Judith Arnold.   Since then she has written over 90 romance novels and several crime fiction novels.  She is a best-selling author.

Four of Judith's novels have received awards from Romance Times Book Reviews Magazine (for Best Harlequin American Romance, Best Harlequin Superromance, Best Series Romance Novel and Best Contemporary Romance Novel) and she's a three-time finalist for Romance Writers of America's RITA Award. Her novel Love In Bloom's was named one of the best books of the year by Publishers Weekly.

Barbara and her husband have two sons and live outside Boston
